A group of individuals seeking to gain power by channelling power from the Shadowfell into themselves.

They arrived in :ref:`llorkh` 4-5 months ago, under the guise of helping expand the :ref:`llorkh-mines`.
They brought 30-40 mercenaries to :ref:`llorkh` with them but there were only a handful left 2 months later.
Likely they were experimenting on them.

Having found the mercenaries in the :ref:`llorkh-mines` loading a wagon with ore, it's clear the Platinum bars were being exfiltrated from there by this group to fund their research.

They moved into the :ref:`llorkh-manor-house` about 2 months ago, caging :ref:`ultread-ealdwulf` in the process.

By the time we chased them away from :ref:`llorkh` they had stopped paying the remaining mercenaries.

:ref:`ultread-ealdwulf` told us :ref:`jamie-lanhurst` had another companion, a bald, pale person who looked unwell, who would turn up occasionally and have row with :ref:`jamie-lanhurst`.
