Day 1
^^^^^
While looking for a site to camp for the night :ref:`malcon` and :ref:`caoimhin` notice fresh (2h) blood and boot prints on the ground.
The tracks lead South, into the woods, and we see a glint in the moonlight up ahead.
:ref:`searos` goes to investigate, finds a gauntlet, and falls down a hole.

Owlbear battle!

:ref:`searos` finds their nest further in the cave with the half eaten remains of a male dark skinned humanoid figure.
He had curly black hair.

On his body :ref:`searos` found:

- 17GP
- 25SP
- 16CP
- a vial of blue liquid which gives off a whiff of transmutation magic
- a letter

    My dearest Jerome,

    I’m sorry to bring you sad tidings but your father is unwell and a fear the worst, I would ask you to please make your way with all haste to Yatar.
    We are travelling up from our small holding to see if we can’t find a temple priest that can cure his ailment.
    We will look to stay at the Wink & Kiss, please could you meet us there and bring what funds you can spare so that we can afford a clerics aid.

Day 2

:ref:`caoimhin` and :ref:`malcon` talk more about their lives before we formed the party.


Day 3
^^^^^
While preparing to break camp a naked human man, :ref:`wormford`, walks East along the road past us.
He doesn't stop to talk.

On the road :ref:`rickard` spots some grey skinned humanoids.
We're not sure what they are but they don't bother us.
