Journal
-------

Day 1
^^^^^
Broker passage out of :ref:`yartar` with :ref:`mother` for 40GP and information about :ref:`slarkrethel`.
:ref:`rowan-mornwell` takes us via underground passages to beneath the docks where a boat awaits.

The boat captain stashes us in the hold until we're past the walls.

The boat can only take us about half way to :ref:`mornbryns-shield` due to encroaching ice.

We spy some mushrooms growing on a tree next to the road.
:ref:`finnian` and :ref:`knuckles` try some, discovering they provide the benefits of certain spells.

Day 2
^^^^^
Find a dead body on the road with a giant gash across their chest.

:ref:`searos` spots ragged Giant footprints heading in the same direction as us (North).

:ref:`finnian` & :ref:`knuckles` both take mushrooms again, gaining the effects of Enlarge.
They carry :ref:`searos` and :ref:`gramdoul`, respectively.

Day 3
^^^^^
Heavy wind and snowfall.

We find a derelict tavern and camp their for the night under the Dome.

Day 4
^^^^^
The weather continues unabated.

:ref:`finnian` flies up above the storm to see it stretches for hundreds of miles.

Day 5
^^^^^
Storm has broken.

Discover two undead Giants on the path to :ref:`mornbryns-shield`.
:ref:`gramdoul` turns them away.

Continue on to :ref:`mornbryns-shield`.
