Malcon
======

A human male from Tashalar, far to the East.

Has a problem with arcane magic because a snake group nearly wiped out his people.
Doesn't have an issue with divine magic.

Now tied to :ref:`slarkrethel` after a near-death experience in the bay of :ref:`waterdeep`.
He has begun to wear the necklace which almost killed :ref:`searos`.

The :ref:`party` found him unresponsive in a pool of salt water in the :ref:`under-mountain`, soaking wet, with squid ink all over him.
:ref:`knuckles` tried to remove his necklace which shook him out of his fugue state.

History
-------
The second son of a noble family in :ref:`tashluta` he scouted for wood to make crossbows, something his family was renowned for.
His family had an agreement with :ref:`merchant-consortium` allowing them to explore nearby islands unmolested.

While Malcon was away on one such voyage they reneged on this deal and he was attacked by a pirate group known as "Reavers".
His family estate was taken away and his father imprisoned.

On his return home he discovered his home lands under attack from the :ref:`yuan-ti`.
Much of the local population had already been wiped out.
He and other survivors took up arms to protect their home land.
During a battle the defenders were routed, his younger brother was killed, and Malcon was knocked unconscious, falling off his ship.

Picked up by traders he arrived on the Sword Coast at :ref:`neverwinter`.
Making his way South he ended up in :ref:`waterdeep` and joined our :ref:`party`.
